OUR STORY
Construction has always been personal to us.
Banyan Living grew from decades of experience in residential construction and a shared belief that homeowners deserve more from the remodeling process.
Dan has spent his career building, designing, problem-solving, and managing residential projects, from custom carpentry and cabinetry to large-scale remodeling and luxury homes. Bethaney brings a lifelong connection to the construction industry along with years of experience in client communication, organization, and project coordination.
Together, we created Banyan Living around a simple idea:
Great construction requires more than great craftsmanship. It requires someone paying attention to the entire project.
Today, we combine thoughtful design, experienced construction management, clear communication, and meticulous attention to detail to create homes that feel intentional from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.
DAN HOFFACKER

Dan’s career in construction began at 14, sweeping jobsites and learning the trades from experienced carpenters. What started as a summer job became a lifelong career in residential construction.
After moving to Fort Myers in 2006, Dan expanded his experience through finish carpentry, custom cabinetry, remodeling, project management, and luxury residential construction. Along the way, he developed a particular talent for seeing possibilities in a space and understanding how the pieces of a complicated project need to come together.
Today, as a Florida Certified Building Contractor, Dan leads Banyan Living’s construction, design, and project management work. He remains deeply involved in every project, helping clients navigate decisions, solve problems, coordinate trades, and ensure the finished work reflects the level of craftsmanship Banyan Living stands behind.
BETHANEY HOFFACKER

Construction has been part of Bethaney’s story almost from the beginning. Growing up around her family’s door and hardware business in Illinois meant learning early that family businesses usually involve everyone, whether that meant helping with administrative work or cleaning the office.
After graduate school, she found her way back into the construction industry in Southwest Florida, working in purchasing and project management for a local company. Those experiences gave her a strong understanding of the details, logistics, and people involved in keeping a construction project moving.
When Dan launched what would become Banyan Living, Bethaney stepped in to help shape the client side of the business.
Today, she leads client experience, communication, business operations, and the countless behind-the-scenes details that help projects run smoothly.

Banyan Living is a family business in every sense of the word.
When we’re not working, you’ll usually find us with our kids, Cooper and Finnley, and our dog, Dixie. Whether it’s watching baseball, listening to guitars from somewhere in the house, spending time outdoors, or disappearing to the golf course, family is at the center of our life.
It’s also shaped the kind of company we want Banyan Living to be.
We value relationships, accountability, hard work, and doing what we say we’re going to do. Those values don’t disappear when we walk onto a jobsite. They’re part of how we run our business and how we treat the people who trust us with their homes.
